Lindsay Lohan writing motivational memoir
Lindsay Lohan is in the process of a writing a book.
The Mean Girls actress, who turns 30 on Saturday, has decided now's the time for her pen a memoir as she's come to a point in her life where she feels comfortable in sharing aspects about her often troubled personal life. Though details about the book are scarce, Lindsay told Vanity Fair that the work would include stories about her own experiences as well as give advice on "how to overcome obstacles". She didn't specify if the collection would be non-fiction or fiction, but stated, "I hope that my words will connect with those who need some guidance when (or) if they are in a tough place. I am grateful that I have a voice, which I can now feel comfortable using as a platform to let people know that we all have ups and downs in life, and we can all come up from the downs if we get in touch with our inner self and spiritual side." Rumours of Lindsay penning a book have been swirling for a few years. In 2014, New York Post gossip column Page Six reported that she had scored a $1 million deal to publish her memoir. However, the next year they claimed Lindsay turned down a deal for the tell-all and that she was working on an "educational book on style and fashion". Lindsay has struggled to land roles in recent years after her career was thrown into turmoil amid accusations of drink and drug abuse, as well as a spate of convictions for driving under influence and violating the terms of her probation, and a rehab stint. Her professional life took a hit while she was filming TV biopic Liz & Dick in 2012 when she was involved in a car accident, sustaining minor injuries which caused a delay in the production. But since relocating to London, U.K, and meeting her reported fiance Egor Tarabasov, Lindsay seems to have turned her fortunes around. In the interview, the redhead beauty stated that she is now in "a wonderful place in life and look forward to the near and far future". She adds that as well as venturing into writing, she also has plans to make more films, start a charity and work with children, and "maybe having some of my own soon - after I get some movies done".
